Exhibition in the Salmagundi Club

Two of my artworks are in an exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in New York City.  They're part of a show of work by military veterans called "Journeys Onward".  This is the second time I've been part of the show, for which I'm honored.  Here are the two pieces:

My Afghan Interpreter
Charcoal and pastel on toned paper, 30"x24" framed

Now and Then

Oil on canvas, 22"x26"

Earlier this year, I had works in two other exhibitions: "Beyond the Uniform", another exhibition of art by veterans, in Washington, DC, and the National Juried Art Exhibition at the Arts & Culture Alliance in Knoxville, TN.  And I'm waiting on notification for two more shows this fall.

So what's the reason for all the exhibitions this year?  A combination of people twisting my arm to participate with other veterans, and finally being in the mood to join in.  There are years that I don't apply to anything and have no interest, and then there are years like this one.

It's been over a year since my last post.  I haven't had much inclination to write anything here, but lately I've had a lot of things that I wanted to say.  So here's the ice-breaker to get me going with the blog again.  Check back again!
